"Terre di Mezzo"’s players come from different backgrounds (classic,
jazz, ethno music, etc.). The mixture of many styles characterizes the music
of the group. It embraces different atmospheres from the mediterranean area,
up to the jazz roots. The band often plays with Gianluigi Trovesi. This collaboration
allows the band to extend its musical research, which is a combination of popular
styles with jazz language. Since 1995 ‘Terre di Mezzo’ has played in several
festivals worldwide (Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria,
England, Lebanon, Tunisia, Etiopia, etc..) gathering many appreciations both
among the critics and the audiences. It is considered as one of the most original
italian band. Critics say about its music: “ ….a persisting surprise, an incredible
journey through unexplored continents, a mixture of many colours …..“. “Terre
di Mezzo” has released the CDs ‘Terre di Mezzo’ (Philology) and ‘Faro’ (Wide
Sound). Besides there are two other projects. The first, “Dedicated to Pasolini”,
is based on music and poetry, together with the actor Francesco Lanza. The second
